- overlook的基本含義是從高處向下看,即“俯視”; 也可指“忽視”,即出于無(wú)心或由于匆忙而對(duì)某人或某物未給予應(yīng)有的或足夠的重視、注意或忽略做某事;引申還可指“原諒”,即有意寬容別人的失誤,對(duì)某一過(guò)失不多加追究。

- ignore指有意忽視、不理睬;neglect指因不留心或遺忘而疏忽,有時(shí)也指故意不予注意;而overlook既指出于無(wú)心或由于匆忙未能注意到而忽略做某事, 也指有意原諒、寬容別人的失誤。例如:
